Training process


Every newly employed Seaman goes through the training program. This training program includes:


  • Familiarization Tanker Course (for junior officers)

    • Duration of Course: 1 week

  • Specialized liquefied gas/chemical Tanker Training program (for senior officers)

    • Duration of Course: 2 weeks

    Above-mentioned Tanker Courses accepted by Norgas and are organized in co-operation with Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (SMA) at the Maritime Training Center of SMA.

    Internal training program normally includes 2 short courses:


  • NORGAS Familiarization Course (Total Quality Management)

    • Duration of Course: 1 day

  • STAR IPS Course (STAR Information&Planning System installed on board all NORGAS vessels)

    • Duration of Course: 1-2 days
