Fleet Manager

Requirements/Qualifications: 

-          Experience as Chief Engineer on fully ref ships (prior experience as Superintendant will be preferred).
-         
Knowledgeable in ship technical questions.
-         
Have an understanding of the accounting system.
-         
An excellent skilled leader.
-         
Fluent in English, written and verbal.
-         
An intercultural bridge maker between different crews.

Overview of the customers
-         
Knowledge about the cargoes carried (liquefied gas)

Responsibilities:

 -          Responsible that the vessels are maintained for safe operation with respect to protection of personnel, cargo, environment and investments.
-         
Responsible that all vessels are technically available for commercial and operational departments.
-         
Responsible for coordinating the superintendents to ensure a good team spirit.
-         
Responsible for continuous development of the superintendant’s qualifications within technical and vessel management topics.
-         
Review, verify and prepare dry-docking specifications and budgets.
-         
Develop Fleet Management software tools and administrative routines within Fleet Management.
-         
Responsible for technical fleet budgets and cost control, including vessel administration costs.
-         
Participate in development and executing in training programs for seafarers.
-        
Develop and strengthen the technical fleet’s business concept, objectives and effectuate department strategies.
-         
Coordinate closely with Purchasing Manager for negotiating long term contracts.
